  • As a social mobility charity, our programmes are designed for young people aged 18-30 from low-income backgrounds.

    If you apply for one of our programmes, we will ask you a short list of questions to see if you are eligible. And rest assured, all information is treated confidentially.

  • We match motivated candidates, aged 18-30 from low-income backgrounds with your entry level roles, and support them and you for a full year.

  • Our Be The One programme is a 1-day bootcamp that builds aspiring marketers’ interview skills and confidence with guidance from industry insiders.

    Since 2018, we’ve opened doors for 200+ young people through our bootcamps.

  • We’ve built our network and reputation since 2018, and we meet lots of active jobseekers through our regular employability bootcamps and referrals from our early careers alumni. We also go out to the market with adverts on major job sites.

  • Yes, we can employ a young person and second them back to you. About 30% of our young people are employed this way.

  • As a minimum salary, we recommend the Real Living Wage, which varies by role, location and working hours. For 2025-2026, the London Living Wage is £28,860 for a 37.5 hour week (£14.80/hr x 37.5 hrs x 52 weeks) and the UK Living Wage is £26,227.50 for a 37-hour week (£13.45/hr x 37.5 hrs x 52 weeks).

  • Our young people are entry level and ready to thrive in roles across marketing functions, from planning and data to strategy and creative. They’re looking to learn, contribute, and build their skills and experience. Starting with practical, day-to-day tasks often works well, laying the groundwork to take on larger projects and more responsibility.

  • We run regular sessions with line managers, sharing the experience we’ve gained since 2018 and supporting them and the talent joining their team for a full year.

    Your team also gets access to The Marketing Academy’s virtual campus, with on-demand content from industry leaders.

  • Yes, we connect businesses with young talent and then offer light support over the year they’re with you, as you and they will also get support from your statutory training provider. The young people can still join our training days for more personal and professional development.
