The Marketing Academy Foundation announces new board and brand refresh
Five new Trustees and a sharper new identity signal the start of an ambitious new chapter.
The Marketing Academy Foundation (TMAF) today announces five new Trustees and the launch of a refreshed brand and positioning, together marking a new era of confidence and ambition for the social mobility charity. Claire Sadler, Jack Lowman, Lyeloon Kazi, Regina Quartey, and Joel Barnett join Chair Sherilyn Shackell, Daryl Fielding and Scott Morrison on the Foundation's board.
“This is a pivotal moment for The Marketing Academy Foundation. We have always believed that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. The board we are building reflects exactly that belief: people who know this industry, who know what it takes to get in, and who are personally committed to changing who gets there. This new chapter is about going further, faster, and doing it with real purpose and real people behind us.”
The Marketing Academy Foundation
Born out of The Marketing Academy and uniquely connected to its global community of senior marketing leaders, TMAF is committed to opening up the industry to the talent it has been missing. Together, the new Trustees bring deep marketing industry expertise, first-hand experience of TMAF's programmes, and a personal commitment to social mobility in the profession.
Claire Sadler: Chief Marketing and Fundraising Officer at the British Heart Foundation, President of WACL and Marketing Academy alumni, Claire has been an industry partner of TMAF through the GetYourStart programme and joins the board with first-hand experience of the quality of early talent TMAF finds and develops.
Jack Lowman: Chief Social Change Officer at Sense, the UK disability charity, and Marketing Academy alumni, Jack leads the organisation's work to create system-level change, overseeing teams across brand, media, digital and influencing. As founder of the award-winning training company Hack Yourself, he brings a unique blend of social change leadership and marketing expertise to the TMAF board.
Lyeloon Kazi: Founder of Lyeloon, a fractional Finance Team supporting founders and business leaders, Lyeloon brings both commercial rigour and a long-standing commitment to young talent to the TMAF board. As Finance Director at Livity, the youth-led creative agency, she spent years at the intersection of creativity and early careers, experience that connects directly to TMAF's mission.
Regina Quartey: Incoming Director of Corporate Strategy and Operations at Merkle, part of Dentsu, and founder of ExeQutive, Regina brings a rare combination of corporate leadership and lived experience to the board. Having navigated foster care, 17 schools and 12 families before being adopted at 11, she speaks with authority and authenticity on what resilience, opportunity, and representation really mean, and what is possible when young people are given the tools to flourish. Joel Barnett: Founder of marketing leadership search and advisory firm Fortune Hill and creator of the Massive Marketing Quiz, Joel has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charitable causes including TMAF, harnessing the energy and generosity of the marketing leadership community to fund early careers opportunity. His appointment as Trustee marks a natural deepening of a long-standing commitment to TMAF's mission.
“Having partnered with TMAF through my work at the British Heart Foundation, I have seen first-hand what this organisation does, finding bright, ambitious young people and supporting them into their first role in the industry, while corporate partners benefit from a more diverse pipeline of talented people. Joining the board felt like the natural next step. This is a cause I believe in deeply, and I want to help TMAF grow its reach and its impact across the industry.

The Marketing Academy Foundation
"Driven by social mobility. Dedicated to marketing." This is the positioning at the heart of TMAF's brand refresh: a new look and feel, sharper communications, and a new website that reflects the organisation's identity as both an early careers partner for the marketing industry and a community for the bright, ambitious young people finding their way into it.
TMAF collaborates with industry partners through two programmes: a 1-year paid early careers programme and a free 1-day employability bootcamp, finding early talent from low-income backgrounds, growing their careers from day one and opening doors to the events and opportunities that build confidence and capability across their early careers.
“I have recently been promoted to Media Planning Manager. The Foundation helped me get my foot in the door a few years ago, which made everything I have achieved since then possible. I am really grateful for the support.”

The Marketing Academy Foundation is the marketing industry's social mobility charity and early careers partner. We exist for two audiences: the bright, ambitious young people from low-income backgrounds who are ready to build careers in marketing, and the forward-thinking businesses that want to find them and grow them.
Born out of The Marketing Academy, we are uniquely connected to a global community of senior marketing leaders: the people shaping the industry's future and invested in who gets to be part of it.
